McDonald’s Corporate Training Video
In my Corporate Communications Photography class my group and I were tasked with creating a Corporate Training Video. We were given lots of freedom and it turned into one of my favorite projects that I have worked on at Stout.
As the director of this project I wrote the script, aquired the props/costumes and worked with Stout’s dining hall to film in their kitchen.
In post I created a VHS effect and motion graphics in After Effects and the story edit/sound design in Premiere Pro.
To create the VHS effect I used venetian blinds to create an interlacing effect and a sharpen + fast box blur to give it a lower quality feel while keeping the edges sharp.
I seperated the RGB channels and slightly shifted the red and green positions creating a chromatic abberation effect.
Lastly I created the classic VHS glitch by animating thin lines of wave warp randomly up and down the shot.
